VSB - Wood screw with wide head, C4, TX40, (10 × 40 - 60 mm)

Wood screw with a low-profile wafer head for fastening timber in outdoor applications. The screw is made from case hardened steel and coated with Zincotech Ag coating, corrosivity class C4, making it suitable for exterior use. For the 8 mm diameter variants, the drive type is TX40.

The screw is designed with a cutting drill tip as well as oblique and longitudinal flanks between the threads. According to the manufacturer, these features help reduce installation torque, lower the risk of cracking in wood, shorten installation time and in many cases allow installation without pre-drilling. The manufacturer also states that the screw provides greater strength than a normal wood screw.
